The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, “Cinderella”, and several others. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family (the original beginning of the Grimm Brothers’ “Rapunzel”), their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and encounters with other storybook characters during their journey.

A hilariously satirical homage to the works of Anton Chekhov, Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is a joyous romp set at a lakeside home in Bucks County, PA. as we visit the middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia, who bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Unannounced, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, and possibly new tensions are born, prompting Masha with threats to sell the house. Throw in a sassy maid named Cassandra (who can predict the future), and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness perks up Spike while somewhat worrying the imperious Masha, and you’ve got a night of comedy you’ll never forget!

With themes of love and relationships, Be My Baby is the foil to her last cabaret show, Cry Baby. After creating a safe space to feel emotions Hilarie ushers in an upbeat environment where folks can sing a long to all the hits of The Supremes, The Ronettes and more. She takes her audience on a journey of how those iconic songs changed music forever, influencing some of today’s biggest hits. Get ready for big hair and mod fashion designed and created by Hilarie herself! Her larger than life vocals, her heartfelt message and her disco tiled back up singers promise Be My Baby as the can’t miss show of the season!

Hilarie will take you on a roller coaster of emotions through personal anecdotes and her unique interpretations of hits by powerful women. Prepare to laugh and cry as you’re transported to the 70s with custom costumes made by Project Runway’s Jonathan Joseph Peters and her handmade set.
